The University of Washington is currently seeking bids for the following public works projects. Availability of bidding documents is described in the advertisement. Bids received after the required bid submission deadline will not be accepted or considered. Bidders should verify the bid submission deadline with the Architect. Invitations to Bid are advertised in the Seattle Daily Journal of Commerce newspaper. The University strongly encourages minority business enterprises (MBEs), women’s business enterprises (WBEs), and small businesses to submit bids or to participate as subcontractors on University contracts.

SMALL WORKS ROSTER The Small Works Roster is used for soliciting bids, without public advertisement, from contractors on public works construction projects valued between $35,000 (for a single trade) or $55,000 (for multiple trades) and $300,000. Work costing less than $35,000 or $55,000 is normally performed by University personnel. Work estimated to cost more than $300,000 is publicly advertised. There are three categories on the Small Works Roster: General Contractors, Mechanical Contractors, Electrical Contractors each under two separate Rosters: 1) Seattle, Tacoma, Bothell campuses and other locations, and 2) UW Medical Center and Harborview Medical Center. Applications for the Small Works Roster are accepted any time during the year, and contractors placed on the Roster must meet certain responsibility criteria as outlined on the application form.
