	UWeek November 5th: Want to help keep the UW a green campus? Then volunteer to help plant some of the 30 new trees the University is receiving, thanks to a $5,000 grant from the Arbor Day Foundation in cooperation with Toyota. The tree planting will begin at 10 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 19. Last summer the Arbor Day Foundation named the University a "Tree Campus USA," making it eligible for the grant. The designation is based on several criteria, such as having a campus tree plan and an Arbor Day program (see our story here). Campus Arborist Sara Shores and Campus Landscape Architect Kristine Kenney were instrumental in securing the grant. READ MORE >
	CPO \| CFD SPAGHETTI FEAST RAISES $500! Richard Chapman presents a check for $500 to Christine Hirsch, CFD Campaign Executive. Michele Everett and Gilda Fragada organized the CPO \| CFD Spaghetti Feast held on October 27th, which raised the money - with the help of all the Good Eaters at CPO. Thanks also go to Leah Schweyen and Travis White who assisted at the event. [enlarge picture]
	What does the UW School of Drama have to do with a swimming pool? Well lots, if you are the PM assigned to yet another interesting and challenging reuse of existing space here on campus. In this example it’s the decommissioning of an old upper campus swimming pool within Hutchinson Hall (sometimes referred to as Hutchinson’s secret pool) and converting the space into a suitable environment for the Drama Scene Design Studio. 	Housing Project Update The housing project continues to move forward on schedule and within budget. Sites 31W and 33W have completed design development and have started the construction document phase and sites 32W and 35W have completed schematic design and have started the design development phase.
