CPO trains A/Es on
specification development

Mike Purdy
Contracts Manager

On June 24 th I conducted a special training session for about 35 of the architects and engineers that CPO regularly contracts with. The purpose of the training was to review with them the recently adopted Specification Development and Review Guidelines and to talk about best practices for developing specifications for the University.

It was a lively discussion with great questions and suggestions, and helped to improve their understanding of CPO’s expectations. The session was also attended by a half-dozen or so project managers. Most project managers and others from CPO were training on the new Guidelines at the CPO University session on May 15 th.

The Guidelines are available on CPO’s website at the following address: http://www.cpo.washington.edu/DOCMAN/WEB_FTP/DOCMANFTP/Specification%20Development%20and%20Review%20Guidelines.pdf
