CPO Softball Event

Sunny skies, a beautiful ball park, great food and many friends made for the perfect Annual CPO Softball game. The two teams, lead by awesome captains Will Sigman and Ivan Turner, exchanged the lead each inning with several over the fence homeruns and some dramatic fielding plays.  Finally at the end of seven innings, Umpire Dave Marberg declared a tie game. Is there a rematch in the making for 2009?

The players found the stands filled this year with friends, families, and guests and the good food was enjoyed by all. It was great to see so many take a swing at bat and fans with sunglasses and sunscreen. Cameras caught CPO celebrities such as our VP and our Directors in attendance as well. Caps off to all of CPO for a great turn-out!!!

Also thanks to the entire FUN Committee as the event was pre-budgeted and fully funded (thanks to all your earlier support) and we came in on budget, again. Your support has also allowed the FUN Committee to purchase our own big burner grille, found on craigslist and acquired by Chris Coyle, which will be used for upcoming events and is stored back by the picnic table.

Our upcoming events are a Barbeque and Ice Cream Extravaganza, with details to be announced.
