The Ecogenomics Lab is located in the Benjamin D. Hall Interdisciplinary Research Building on a portion of the 3rd floor and is seeking a LEED-CI certification.

LEED Sustainable features:

  • Located in a LEED-CS Gold rated building
  • Public transportation access
  • Bicycle and shower areas
  • Light controls
  • Storage and collection of recyclables
  • Construction waste management plan
  • Use of recycled materials
  • 100% of outside air delivery
  • Low VOC emitting adhesives and sealants, paint and carpeting, and systems furniture

The Benjamin D. Hall Interdisciplinary Research Building - Successes

  • GOLD LEED-CS Pilot Certification by the U.S. Green Building Council - 1st building on the West Coast, 2nd in higher education and 11th in the world to receive this level of certification
  • Design-Build Institute of America (DBIA) National Design-Build Award
  • Northwest Construction Consumer Council Distinguished Project Award
  • 1st Design-Build-Operate-Maintain Laboratory Facility
