UWPT ROLES: WHO IS INVOLVED IN UWPT?
ADMINISTRATORS

Depending on their size, schools/colleges or other organizational units have key administrative staff responsible for managing facilities issues for the unit.  For UWPT, these departmental administrators are designated as authorized users.
SERVICE PROVIDERS
Facilities Services
Campus Alterations
As the UW’s in-house construction company, Campus Alterations takes care of small facilities projects (less than $55,000, as stipulated by law) including everything from installing electrical outlets to changing an office into a lab.
Campus Maintenance
The maintenance organization fixes what is broken and keeps running what is not broken. It takes care of leaks, graffiti, irrigation, and rooftops.
Capital & Space Planning
The Capital & Space Planning Office (CASPO) is a part of the Planning & Budgeting Office. CASPO coordinates campus facilities, master plans and the capital budget process. The Office is also responsible for planning standards and space allocations.
Capital Projects Office
For design and construction of new buildings and major remodels, the Capital Project Office (CPO) provides or oversees architectural and engineering professionals. Projects range in size from several thousand dollars to $100 million.
UW Technology
UW Technology (UWTech), handles all requests for communications and networking services. UWTech provides services such as campus dial tone, long distance, Ethernet, telephones, pagers, public phones, and wireless data to all UW locations.
Equal Opportunity Office
For Tracker purposes, the EOO, in conjunction with the Disability Services Office  (DSO) ascertains which projects qualify for funding to meet needs under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and provides Public Site information relative to these construction and alterations projects.
Environmental Health & Safety
EH&S provides support to the Capital Projects Office through plan review and consultation to help assure that new and renovated facilities are safe and that they conform to regulatory requirements. EH&S also assesses facilities and manages a number of minor capital safety projects to improve the health and safety in existing facilities.
UW Emergency Management
UW Emergency Management (UWEM) is an office within Facilities Services that is responsible for developing and implementing programs and projects in emergency/disaster planning, training, response, and recovery. Their mission is to promote campus disaster planning, mitigation, response and recovery.
UW Bothell - Facilities Services
The Facility Services Departmet, Maintenance Services, provides start-to-finish planning and construction of minor improvements or renovations not exceeding $55,000. Services include scope definition, basic design, assessment of site conditions, estimating, material procurement and project management.
UW Tacoma - Capital Projects Renewal & Growth
Start-to-finish planning and construction of minor improvements or renovations not exceeding $55,000 in cost; includes defining project scope, basic design, assessment of site conditions, estimating, material procurement, project management and close-out.
